Claim your free enery-saving light bulb from the Parish Council office in Langley Road

All residents should have received their free green guide, called 'Save Money Save the Environment' in the post.

With the book is a voucher for a free energy-saving light bulb. The bulb is worth £2.50 and will last up to 12 times longer than a normal light bulb. Over its lifetime, the bulb will save around £100 in electricity costs.

The free bulb can be collected from the Parish Council offices in Langley Road. Frail or housebound residents can call 01923 776611 and ask for a bulb to be delivered to their home.

The guide also gives lots of useful information on how going green can save you money. For instance, did you know that insulating your hot water tank can save around £50 per year on your fuel bills, whilst a baby using real nappies will cost £500 less than one using disposables.
