Working all year round for Abbots Langley, Bedmond, Hunton Bridge, Langleybury, Leavesden and Primrose Hill

Joy wins resurfacing for Toms Lane

After a sustained campaign, LibDem Cllr Joy Mann has succeeded in getting a promised resurface for the whole of Toms Lane. The work will be carried out later this year, with residents given two weeks' notice of the work being carried out.

Joy said: "This is long overdue. Toms Lane is heavily used, but the Conservative-run County Council have had to concede that the road needs resurfacing".

However the news in not all good for Toms Lane. After Cllr Joy Mann requested that work be carried out at the bottom of Toms Lane, where it meets Water Lane, Primrose Hill and Station Road to prevent flooding and other problems during heavy rain, a plan was designed by highways engineers.

However the plan has been blocked by the Conservatives at County Hall, who say that problem is not important enough to have money spent on it!
