Councillor Matthew Bedford has requested the replacement of the missing bollards with more substantial structures to prevent further damage to the pavement outside Budgens

Cllr Matthew Bedford has asked the county council to restore several bollards which have been knocked down at the Budgens end of The Crescent. One bollard was demolished within 2 days of being installed! (see picture). Highways staff is now considering what options they have to provide even more robust protection for pedestrians and neighbouring properties.

The County Council has also agreed to requests to provide additional 'H-bar' markings to deter inconsiderate parking, in particular by the entrances to the parking courts for properties at the library end of The Crescent. These should be implemented with the next batch of road markings later in the year.
