More action for Jacketts Field

12.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Sun 22nd Jul 2007

After further action from Cllr Matthew Bedford, improvements have continued in Jacketts Field.

• The street light in the parking area in front of numbers 41-46 will be moved, so that the parked cars are better lit and security is improved.

• New shrubs have been planted in amenity greens and a watering programme set up, in case the summer turns dry.

• A scheme is still being worked up to improve and repair the remaining footpaths on the estate. This may have to wait until the next financial year for funds to be available.

Matthew said, "Together with improvements to the roads and pavements, there works will really brighten and improve the estate".
