Abbots langley is a safer place since the opening of the new police station

Three Rivers has maintained its place as the safest district in Hertfordshire. The Three Rivers Community Safety Partnership has the lowest overall level of crime, and also the lowest levels of violent crime, criminal damage, domestic violence and robbery. Recent crime figures show that overall crime has fallen by 20% since 2003/4.

Cllr Sara Bedford said, "Whilst crime in this area is low and falling, that is no consolation to local people who are victims of crime. We know that many local people feel safer since the District and Parish councils worked together to ensure the opening of the Abbots Langley Police Station last year.

"Now we would like to ask residents to ensure that every single crime is reported, no matter how small. It is only if every crime is reported that Abbots Langley will get its fair share of police resources".
