Almost £400,000 has been invested by Three Rivers District Council into a brand new sports pavilion and refurbished football pitch in Leavesden. The pavilion and car park is on the site of the former Leavesden Stadium, off Woodside Road and forms part of Leavesden Country Park.

Both the site and pavilion are owned by Three Rivers District Council, which provided the £397,000 needed for a new car park, refurbished pitch, the new pavilion (which has three separate changing areas and a store room). The pavilion has easy access for people with disabilities.

Councillors Sue Bartrick and Stephen Giles-Medhurst joined with the teams from Garston United to celebrate the opening. Sue said, "We were very impressed at the high standard of workmanship at the pavilion. It will be a great asset for these local teams to use as changing rooms and we were delighted to see it in use."
