Cllr Stephen Giles-Medhurst has asked for this war memorial to be cleaned

A number of local residents have contacted LibDem councillors concerning the state of the War Memorial outside Dale Court in Leavesden High Road.

Cllr Stephen Giles-Medhurst said, "We have made a number of enquiries as to the ownership of the memorial and finally found out that it is 'owned' by the Watford Community Housing Trust! They have agreed to inspect it and hopefully refurbishment".

"The memorial was erected to remember the soldiers from Leavesden who died in the First World War and we are hoping that when it has been done up that we might be able to have it included in the Remembrance Day services".
