Have your say on Hillside Hall10.47.00pm GMT Fri 23rd Feb 2007
Local residents have been invited to consultation sessions and an exhibition to look at the future plans for Hillside Hall. Three Rivers District and Abbots Langley Parish councils are continuing to work on a scheme that will see the redevelopment of Hillside Hall at no cost to either council. A housing association will provide a brand new hall and flats above, including affordable homes for local people. A similar scheme in Hitchin has been a success. The new hall will be at least as big as the current hall with plenty of storage and will be run by the parish council. Drop-in sessions are being arranged to let local residents know more about the proposals and to ask for their views. These will be held on Thursday 6th March between 3pm and 7pm and Saturday 8th March from 10am until 1pm. Parish Council leader Keith Williams said, "This is a good opportunity for residents to shape the future of their local hall".
